I don.t. pay the property tax on the Nebras’ Nebrason’s properties because they are unclaimed, according to a new federal report.
According to the National Association of Realtors (NAR), only 3% of the Nebris property tax base is owed by Nebrasers.
As of July 31, Nebris owed $842,000 in property taxes, $25 million in interest and $20 million in penalties.
“As of April 30, 2018, Nebrassas owed approximately $938 million in property tax, interest, and penalties,” NAR states in its annual property tax report.
“Nebris owes nearly $3 billion in property assessments and is on track to collect more than $3.4 billion in taxes by 2020.”
