In an effort to keep track of how much of an impact a certain game or game mechanic has on its fanbase, IGN asked a bunch of gamers to calculate the average value of every element in their favorite video game.
As you can see, a lot of people did a pretty good job of it.

What the study found is that video game content is often the most emotionally charged, so it makes sense that a good chunk of it is a direct reflection of your emotional response.
It’s also worth noting that we are only looking at a single, very brief survey of gamers, so we don’t have any data on how video game audiences are changing over time.
